I first deconstruct archival photographs of fragments of places and activities into small parts, which I then reconstruct through a repetitive process of weaving, whereby the textile carries a restorative function. The photographic tapestries depicting activities or places and the details of their structures are based on visual research on the theme of repetition without creating patterns, through which I reflect on the balance between the mutability of man and his surroundings and the contrasting desire for stability that underlies the given repetitions.
